Environmental issues are exploding in importance. Once the almost exclusive realm of specialists, the environment is now an important mainstream subject for all organisations.  Repeated surveys of Australian businesses show a major lack of understanding of environmental matters, particularly how the changes will affect their business. Without this knowledge, effective planning is impossible.

Legislative, market and moral pressures are mounting and will necessitate changes to the way we all do business. Those that act quickly will be able to minimise the threats to their operations and have the greatest prospects of capitalising on the opportunities.

envirohunter 09 will provide a powerful platform for attendees to help them meet their environmental challenges and for exhibitors to promote their organisation, products and services to a high-quality audience.

The specific aims of envirohunter 09 include:

• Inform businesses on services, products, technology, legislation and other trends in environmental issues. The purpose will be to provide real information and to help dispel misunderstandings that are so prevalent in environmental issues.

• Facilitate the meeting of business decision makers with product and service providers who can help them meet environmental challenges.

• Promote the Hunter as a leader in environmental technology and expertise - a region that is not totally reliant upon old technology but meeting many of the environmental challenges of today and the future.

• Highlight the opportunities that exist - it is not all bad news!
